Community Service Committee . . .

The Community Service committee encourages and facilitates active participation by ASMC Gulf Coast Chapter members to serve the Eglin/Hurlburt populace and the local communities. They hold several volunteer events throughout the year to accomplish these objectives. Some of the most popular are making a day trip to Habitat for Humanity to help build homes, Relay for Life (a cancer walk-a-thon), Shelter House (serving the survivors of domestic violence and their children), Brilliant Minds (to devise and implement behavioral treatments and educational resources of developmental disabilities), and Blankets of Hope (bringing hope to many of our wounded heroes).. The committee aspires to involve as many members of the ASMC Gulf Coast Chapter in a community service experience as possible.

Shelter House is a non-profit organization serving the survivors of domestic violence and their children throughout Okaloosa and Walton counties.
